Advancing AI-driven technologies for Aging and AD/ADRD

AI and emerging technologies can help Americans live longer, healthier lives. AITC provides a national framework and dedicated infrastructure designed to move promising innovations from research to real-world impact. Through its collaboratories, AITC awards pilot funding to researchers and companies developing AI and technology tools that help older adults, including people living with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, stay healthy and independent.

Phase I

Formerly the a2 Collective, the AITC program has funded 166 AI-driven AgeTech projects with more than $40M (opens in a new tab) to improve care and health outcomes for older adults, including persons with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias (AD/ADRD).

Pilot awardees may receive access to study sites, datasets, and resources at each AITC, as well as mentorship from industry and university experts, major health systems, and venture capitalists. Pilot awardees may also become more competitive for SBIR/STTR grant funding.
